What is Pediatric Sedation Dentistry?
Pediatric sedation dentistry is a safe and effective way to help children feel calm, relaxed, and comfortable during dental procedures. It’s especially helpful for little ones who are anxious, have special healthcare needs, or require more extensive treatment like tooth extraction.
Sedation doesn’t mean your child is unconscious (unless general anesthesia is specifically recommended). Most sedation options simply help children feel drowsy, peaceful, and unaware of the sights, sounds, Most sedation options simply help children feel peaceful and able to tolerate the sights, sounds and sensations that can sometimes cause fear. Throughout the entire process, your child will be closely monitored by our trained pediatric dental care team to ensure their safety and comfort.
